I have been a writer since junior high. Stuck in summertime boredom when I was 13 years old, I booted up family’s dusty word processor and typed out a few words.
I went all over the world before school started that fall. I even met new people and realized I could do anything to them or make them do anything. Quite powerful.
This love of writing never left me.
I write solely on my smartphone. It lets me write anytime.
In today's technological world, I can literally go anywhere to write. I prefer writing at a busy fast food joint with all the unique customers. I have to assume, though, that the government is my beta-reader. As far as I can tell, it has not edited my work.
I became a freelance writer and journalist years ago. I was published in the Washington Post, as well as being featured with my wife in a story. I have worked in and around Washington, DC, for more than a decade.
I was a real estate photographer.
I am also a FAA-licensed remote pilot for small Unmanned Aerial Systems, or drones.
